Production Staff

Greg Phillip Viscomi (Director of Theatre) The fall of 2009 marks the beginning of his 16th year as the Director of Theatre for Dearborn High School. A graduate of Dearborn High School, the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre and Dance (BFA) and American University in Washington D.C., (MA), he has taught theatre at the Mt. Vernon Children's Theatre in Virginia, The Bethesda Academy of Performing Arts in Maryland, The Georgetown Arts Center in D.C., and Brother Rice and Marian High Schools in Bloomfield Hills as well as serving as Graduate Faculty at the American University. He has produced and directed over 50 productions for Dearborn High School during his tenure, including last spring's PAGE Award winning Scholastic Musical, Hello, Dolly!  as well as last fall's Heaven Can Wait. He has been honored with the Mayor's Arts Award as Arts Educator of the Year, numerous Dearborn Press and Guide Entertainment (PAGE) Awards for Theatre Excellence, 6 Dearborn Public Schools Superintendent's Honors Awards, and has been included in multiple editions of Who's Who in Entertainment and Who's Who Among American High School Teachers. Before his teaching career, Mr. Viscomi worked extensively as an actor, dancer and singer in the professional theatre. He was inducted into the Dearborn Theatre Hall of Fame in 2007.

Carmelle Siciliano-Atkins (Director of Vocal Music)
Carmelle has just completed her 10th year as the Director of Vocal Music at DHS and has provided the musical direction for last spring's Hello, Dolly!, as well as Kiss Me, Kate in 2008, both of which earned her the PAGE Award for Outstanding Musical Direction of a musical. Her other musical direction credits include Kiss Me, Kate, West Side Story, Damn Yankees, You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown, Guys and Dolls, My Fair Lady, 42nd Street, Oklahoma!, and The Fantasticks. She has both her Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Eastern Michigan University and has been teaching elementary through high school music for the past 19 years.


Jeff Oshnock (Instrumental Music Director)Jeff is currently in his 16th year as the Director of Instrumental Music for Dearborn High School and in his 22nd year with the Dearborn Public Schools. He holds his Bachelors from the Michigan State University and his Masters Degree from the University of Michigan School of Music. He has conducted the DHS Orchestra for the musicals Kiss Me, Kate, West Side Story (2007 and 1997 versions), Damn Yankees, Bye,Bye Birdie, Guys and Dolls (1996 and 2004 versions), Grease, Oklahoma!, 42nd Street, My Fair Lady and The Music Man.

Joan Arrick (Lighting Design)The 2006 Dearborn Area Theatre Association Hall of Fame inductee, Joan has been a director as well as lighting plays, musicals and one-acts for decades. Her lighting design credits include area productions of Our Town, MacBeth, Dracula, The Gondoliers, Camelot, and Agnes of God, all for the City of Dearborn and The Fantasticks, Snapshots from the Stage, ART, and The Guys, all for West Side Theatre Project; Kiss Me, Kate, West Side Story, and The Music Man, for Dearborn High and Mr. Lincoln for Henry Ford Community College.  She has twice been honored with a PAGE Award for Outstanding Lighting Design for The Guys and Mr. Lincoln. A career educator, she is a graduate of Northern Michigan (BA) and Eastern Michigan (MA) Universities. The DHS Theatre Program's Joan Arrick Award in Theatrical Lighting Design is named in her honor with the first recipient awarded in 2008.

Jennifer (Schofield) McPherson (Resident Choreographer) Was named winner of the 2009 PAGE Award for her outstanding Choreography for Hello, Dolly, marking her third award in that category. The resident choreographer for Dearborn High School, her choreography has been seen in our productions of Kiss Me, Kate (PAGE Award winner), Guys and Dolls, West Side Story, Damn Yankees, and 42nd Street (PAGE Award winner). A graduate of Eastern Michigan University with Bachelor degrees in communications and Theatre for the Young, she has been dancing for most of her life, studying at numerous local dance studios including Noretta Dunworth Schhool of Dance in Dearborn and Sheryl's School of Dance in Novi. She has been on the faculty of the Zimbalatti School of Dance in Dearborn Heights for 12 years.

Carol Peterson (Scenic Design) West Side Story marked Carol's 19th collaboration with Mainstage Dearborn High. Her costume designs have earned her 3 PAGE Award nominations and graced our productions of West Side Story, Frankenstein, Into the Woods, The Fantasticks, Oklahoma!, Rumors, 42nd Street, The Music Man, You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown, Guys and Dolls (1996 and 2004), See How They Run (1996 and 2005), and The Mousetrap. Her contributions in Scenic Design include 2008's Moon Over Buffalo, The Fantasticks, and Kiss Me, Kate. The DHS Theatre program's Carol Peterson Award in Technical Theatre and Design is named in her honor. Carol was honored with the 2007 Mayor's Arts Award for her years of dedication.
